The automatic disc filters FiD utilize polypropylene discs with diagonal notches on both sides as their filtering elements. These discs are compressed together using a special construction. Water filtration occurs as it passes through the notches between the discs. Suspended solids remain on the outer surface of the disc assembly, while the purified water passes inside the assembly.
Depending on the filtration rating, these filters can remove suspended particles ranging from 400 to 20 micrometers in diameter. The disc assembly is housed inside a corrosion-resistant casing.
Filter backwashing is performed with a reverse flow of water, and the construction compressing the discs is relaxed, allowing for easy removal of contaminants from the surface of the disc assembly.
Automatic disc filters FiD are effectively used:
- In irrigation systems to prevent nozzle clogging from suspended particles.
- For coarse water filtration from surface sources.
- For pre-treatment of water before various types of water treatment units, including ultrafiltration and microfiltration.
Prices start from 4240 euros.
This equipment is selected based on the type of water source and the required degree of filtration (20-400 micrometers).
